I teach geometry and calculus at a Catholic high school in New York City. After doing this for 8 years without a lot of formal reflection on my development as a teacher, I decided it was time to start organizing my thoughts on the process. My first idea was to hire a team of monks to take dictation and immortalize my thoughts in illuminated manuscripts, but blogging turned out to be a much more efficient enterprise in terms of space and money.
